Description of Swegles's Tetra Fish
Swegles’s Tetras are very sensitive to water chemistry, and their impressive red coloration will only be seen clearly under ideal conditions. They need frequent water changes and a relatively low water temperature if they are to thrive and spawn in the aquarium. A dark substrate in the spawning tank is necessary to protect their eggs from light. The female can be distinguished from the male by the white tip on the dorsal fin.
